Frequently Asked Questions

When should I contact RPM to schedule my annual inspection?

Contact RPM at least two months before your annual is due. That gives us enough advance notice to plan the most efficient time for you to bring your airplane in so that we can give your annual our full attention. Additionally, by identifying squawks early, we can recommend possible repair or replacement options, and order any needed parts to have on hand when we begin your annual.

Does RPM specialize in Mooney aircraft?

RPM has become the go-to maintenance shop for the Monney community in the region because of Byron’ss encyclopedic knowledge of Mooneys and his long-yerm ownership and restoration of his 1977 M20J. But Mooney aircraft are not the only planes in RPM’s hangars! RPM also cares for single and multi-engine Pipers, Cessnas, Bonanzas, and a variety of other aircraft makes and models. If it flies, bring it to RPM and we will fix it right.

Can you balance my prop?

If you are experiencing unusual levels of noise or vibration, sometimes prop balancing can help resolve that problem. RPM recently invested in a dynamic prop balancer. For most aircraft, we can balance your prop for a fixed fee of $300.

Do you have any interesting maintenance stories?

Byron has been a frequest and colorful poster on Mooney Space for over a decade (@jetdriven). Check out the Vendor Forum for some stories from RPM’s recent annuals and pre-buys.
